Terms and Conditions for Pawsonality Social Walk
1. Event Description:
The Pawsonality Social Walk event is organised for dog owners and their dogs to participate in a group walk in a public or designated area under the guidance and supervision of a professional Dog Trainer. Dogs of all sizes, breeds and ages are welcome.
2. Participant Responsibilities:
Participants must ensure that they and their dogs are in adequate health, and that their dog’s vaccinations are current.
Pawsonality asks that participants are transparent regarding any special needs or concerns regarding their dog, especially aggressive behaviours or reactivity.
Dogs must be leashed at all times and should be under control.
Participants are responsible to bring their own supplies – this includes but is not limited to poo bags, treats, snacks and water.
Participants are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs and disposing of waste properly.
Participants are asked to comply with all requests from the Dog Trainer. Any requests not adhered to may result in the participant and their dog being asked to leave, or being permanently banned from future events.
Pawsonality reserves the right to ask any dog and their owners/handlers to leave at any time for any reason.
3. Safety Measures and Equipment:
All participants are to make sure that their leash is not frayed, the clip or other moving parts are not rusted, sticky or snagged; retractable leashes should lock correctly.
The collar, halter or harness used needs to be well fitted and as escape proof as possible.
If using a muzzle, it should be well fitted, and the dog should be previously conditioned for wear.
Pawsonality does not prescribe nor take responsibility for the equipment participants choose to use.
It is recommended that all dogs should wear some form of identification.
Participants are asked to keep in mind the space that we take up individually and as a group, and must remain vigilant in ensuring that no members of the public are unnecessarily inconvenienced during the walk.
The participant is responsible for keeping a respectable distance from other participants on the walk.
4. Liability:
Participants are responsible for their own safety and the safety of their dogs during the event.
The event organisers are not liable for any injuries, losses, or damages incurred during the event.
5. Photography and Media:
Participants may be photographed or recorded during the event for promotional or documentation purposes.
By attending the event, participants grant Pawsonality the right to use their images for these purposes. Participants can request to opt out of being photographed or recorded by contacting Pawsonality prior to the commencement or the walk.
6. Registration and Fees:
Participants are required to pay the fee in full prior to the commencement of the walk unless otherwise arranged.
Participants may be required to register in advance.
Fees are non-refundable or transferrable.
7. Cancellation or Changes:
Pawsonality reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or make changes to the event as necessary without notice. Participants can keep updated on whether a walk is going ahead or not by monitoring the Website or Facebook Event.
8. Weather Conditions:
The event may be cancelled or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Each participant is responsible for their attendance/non-attendance and any associated risks regardless of weather conditions.
9. Agreement to Terms:
By participating in the Pawsonality Social Walk, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these terms and conditions.
